The film is about Uzupis, a part of Vilnius Old Town. The film depicts the atmosphere of decaying part of the town and reveals the anticipation of something that is about to happen. Maybe a new flight of Icarus.

In 2005 European Coordination of Film Festivals (ECFF) made a list of six most prominent films of Eastern Europe in the last 15 years. ‘Ten minutes Before the Flight of Icarus’ was also included in the list.
After such evaluation, the film was reborn – it was screened at the legendary Cannes Film Festival and is constantly being shown at the most prestigious film festivals in Europe.
